At St. Mark’s we value the faith of our children! We have an active Sunday School taught by dedicated volunteers from our congregation. Sunday School runs during our 9:00 Worship Service, which allows parents to attend church while their children are being nurtured in a child-friendly way. All of our volunteers are well-known members, have police record checks, and have training in basic child safety protocols.
If you would like your children to attend Sunday School, please contact our office or Pastor in advance so our teachers can plan appropriately.
This is the format we are currently using (start and end times of lessons are approximate):
9:00 am – children join their parents in worship in the Sanctuary
9:20 am – before the sermon, children are dismissed to the Sunday School (in the Fellowship Hall). Parents pick up their kids at the end of the service.
Sunday School lessons are age-appropriate. We adjust our approach according to the age and maturity of the children who attend. We strive to make lessons engaging, using story-telling, activities, crafts, and games to teach children about God’s deep love for them in his Son Jesus as we learn from the bible and from our daily lives.
