Since becoming a member of St. Mark’s some years ago, Matthias decided to pursue ordination through Concordia Lutheran Seminary.  He was ordained in 2017, although his seminary studies will continue for a couple of years after ordination.  He has many years of theological studies under his belt, though, and holds a doctorate degree.  By day, Matthias works in the banking industry.  Often mistaken for a mild-mannered banker, Matthias’ pursuits include riding his motorcycle and flying airplanes (and sometimes jumping out of them).  Matthias and his wife Maureen have four children, all now of adult age.
